Having fun with a digital camera

I happened to borrow a little digital camera from a friend to play with. Somehow the menu was all in Japanese and I was happily snapping away with the default settings. This camera being so slow, with flash and all I could not know exactly what I took, unlike with an SLR camera. Well, I liked what came out - like rediscovering flash with slow speed with the added benefits of instant results and zero cost - so I kept snapping. Somehow, I captured the vivacity of our 3.5 year-old daughter Suni.

Quiet moments

People having a quiet moment within the hustle and bustle of Hanoi.

At the Reunification Park in Hanoi, fishing is not just for fun, people seriously want to eat the tiny fish from the polluted water. Black raw sewage can be seen and smelt in large sections of the lake.

A nice park for recreational activities. But having a stroll? Make sure you are not run over by above-the-law motorists.

The other two photos were taken at the Hoan Kiem lake.
